Block 60
Located near the Saudi Arabian border, MedcoEnergi holds 20% non-operated interest in Block 60 which operates under a 30-year Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement (EPSA), extending until 2048. The block includes the Bisat oil field and the Abu Butabul gas and condensate field. MedcoEnergi’s active drilling program will unlock further opportunities.

Block 48
Adjacent to Block 60, Block 48 is in the second phase of exploration, with the EPSA extended to 2025. MedcoEnergi is committed to acquiring new 3D seismic data to further assess the block’s potential.

Block 56
Following a commitment to drill an additional exploration well, the exploration period for Block 56 has been extended until the end of 2024. The well was successfully drilled in December 2023.

Karim Small Fields
MedcoEnergi secured a 25-year extension for the Karim Small Fields service contract in 2015. The company continues to optimize production through infill drilling, workovers, and thermal enhanced oil recovery. In 2023, an additional area of 126 km² was granted by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), containing four discovered fields.
