Operation Excellence

Our robust Operational Excellence (OE) framework is designed to systematically enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our operations. This framework aims to achieve excellence in the safe and efficient production of hydrocarbons, crucial to realizing MedcoEnergi's vision as the Energy company of choice. It ensures consistent improvements in HSE, Asset and Operating Integrity, Operating Efficiency, and Cost Management through organizational learning, knowledge sharing, and best practices application using the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust (PDCA) cycle.

Our dedication to OE is evidenced by our achievements in 2022. We successfully implemented our Strategic Improvement Plan (SIP), conducted OE awareness campaigns, and attained Maturity Level 3 for our domestic assets through the OE Self-Assessment.

This level signifies that our OE practices are well-documented and effectively executed. It mandates the incorporation of leading practices into our operations, including:

  • Production Monitoring and Optimization: Our effective management of production volumes has earned MedcoEnergi (Onshore Asset, Corridor Asset, and East Java Asset) recognition from SKK Migas for our Quantity Assurance System during the adoption/piloting phase.
  • Effective Integration and Regular Updates: We ensure seamless integration of strategic planning processes, cost optimization, and Long-Term Plan (LTP) updates on an annual basis. Our monthly cost performance reports enable us to implement regular forecasts effectively.
  • HSE Supervisory Checklist (SCL): We efficiently utilize the HSE SCL as a leadership tool for site management, encompassing tracking, weekly planning, review, and communication.
  • Procure to Pay Process: Our Supply Chain Management (SCM) optimizes procurement practices through the Procure to Pay Process, ensuring streamlined operations with our business partners.
