BackMobile Library and Reading Corner: Serving and Educating

The Company’s commitment extends beyond economic initiatives to focus on education as well. One such program is the Mobil dan Motor Pintar (Mobile Library Program), an extension of our Rumah Pintar Program. This initiative aims to ensure equitable education access and foster a reading culture among communities with limited resources and low awareness of education. The program operates through the Perpustakaan Keliling Plus (Mobile Library Plus), a vehicle equipped with books, computers, audio-visual tools, educational games, and guided by facilitators for educational activities. Beneficiaries of the Mobil Pintar include elementary and junior high school students, traders and buyers in markets, and coastal residents in Tarakan City. In 2019, the Company further developed the Rumah Literasi (Literacy House) program in its South Sumatra operational areas. This program engages local stakeholders, such as youth organizations (Karang Taruna) and education activists. The Company supports the program by providing buildings and books, while the villages coordinate with the Company to manage activities. The Rumah Literasi program has been implemented in Lais Utara Village, Musi Banyuasin.
