BackOrganic Vegetables (SORGA): Utilizing the Potential of House Yards

In addition to medicinal plants, organic vegetables (Sorga) have also become part of the environmentally friendly agricultural initiatives implemented by MedcoEnergi in operational areas across Aceh, South Sumatra, and North Kalimantan. The program began with household-scale vegetable cultivation, utilizing home yards as a means to meet family food needs. Over time, this program has expanded into a joint land management initiative, providing an additional source of income for participating families. Furthermore, the implementation of organic vegetable farming supports government programs aimed at enhancing food security, particularly through the Sustainable Food Houses Zone (Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari) program.
