BackUMKM KASTURI: Promoting Local Products

As part of efforts to accelerate the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), in 2015, the Company launched the Karya Anambas Tumbuh Mandiri (KASTURI) program. Based on an integrated concept from upstream to downstream, KASTURI aims to elevate local Anambas Islands products, making them widely recognized and competitive with non-local products. Starting with business feasibility analysis, the program provides support in product processing, business management, distribution of production tools, and capacity building. KASTURI successfully attracted the participation of 101 micro-enterprises across 17 business activities, including tailoring, screen printing, ready-to-eat fish products, fish farming, and handicrafts. KASTURI has produced market-ready flagship products and established two MSME economic zones: Kampung Bilis in Piabung Village and Kampung Kerisi in Nyamuk Village. These zones have achieved significant production results, with approximately 26.5 tons of bilis (anchovies) and 44.6 tons of salted fish sold annually. The Company also supported these villages by providing fishing equipment, work tools, drying equipment, sales assistance, and brand strengthening for their products.
